Before any pairings, Big Grove adult dogs have been tested for Primary Lens Luxation (PLL) and Degenerative Myelopathy (DM).
Our adult dogs have been fully tested with Embark Labs. Clients are welcome to genetic test results upon request.

Each puppy will be sent home with a puppy packet, a copy of parental genetic test results, pictures of the parents, health guarantee, contract, registration application and all vetting records.

Puppy Pricing
$625 -however, we may price a few differently for a variety of reasons.
Puppies registrations will be held at Big Grove Farms until proof of spay or neuter. Potential Breed or show puppy registrations may be offered upon discussion. Feel free to inquire.

*Deposits
We do take deposits, that practice helps us keep track of how many puppies maybe spoken for. Deposit holders will receive earlier/additional pictures and information as the litter grows. Deposits can be moved to a future litter. Deposits are refundable if Big Grove does not produce a puppy of your liking. Deposits are non-refundable, IF a verbal agreement has been made agreeing to a certain puppy.

We accept deposits via check by mail, we do not cash that check UNTIL the verbal agreement on a certain puppy has been discussed.

PREPARE FOR YOUR PUPPY

2.) Crate-18"-24"

3.) Blankets/Bed-We discourage any beds with stuffing until you can trust your puppy and be past the teething stage. We have found human baby blankets work the best.

4.) Litter pans- if choosing to continue to use a litter box when puppy goes to your home. We recommend a concrete mixing tub. The ones we use are 20" W x 26 " L x 6" D they can be found generally at your local home improvement stores.

5.) Litter-Pelletized bedding is what we use in our litter boxes for the babies. You can find Pelleted bedding at your local farm supply feed stores. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE CAT LITTER

6.) Treats-Be a label reader if purchasing in stores, avoid dyes, made with by-products and fillers. We implement an immune building treat called NuVet PLUS from NuVet Labs in California. NuVet products are not sold in stores but can be purchased with my breeder code 63869. We personally like the product because it helps build their immune systems before puppies leave us. Therefore, puppies can be better prepared for everything new that they will be facing once they leave us.

7.) Feed and Water Bowls sturdy enough that they do not tip over easily during puppy play time.

8.) Toys-stuffed toys are not recommended as they can come apart easily. Instead, look into kong/well made type toys or Antler type chews/toys. Nothing made with rawhide.

9.) Depending on your homes layout, possibly in need of a Baby gate(s).

10.) Collar or Harness-size to fit a 4-6# puppy with room to grow.

11.) Plan to have a vet appointment made for 3 weeks after your puppy turns 8 weeks old. Puppy pick up time frame is between 8-10 weeks old

12.) If clients are looking for some basic training techniques for their puppy, we suggest this link. There are several short videos on crate training, potty training, introducing new puppy to other dogs etc.

Your puppy will get the first of their three needed puppy series vaccines at 8 weeks old.

Their first booster will need done between 12-13 weeks of age (they will most likely be in your home at this age) then their 3rd and final puppy series booster at 16 weeks of age..

Vet clinic appointment openings tend to fill up rather quickly. Plan ahead, so your puppy doesn't have to endure unnecessary extra vaccines.

Lastly, we ask your vet to hold off on giving puppy their rabies vaccine until after their puppy series has been completed.

We know not all vets have the same protocols and views on some topics. TRT's are a smaller breed, we encourage you be your own dogs advocate and ask for these preventative practices simply be spaced out rather than at one vet appointment. We will have more information on our Vaccine, Flea & Tick and Heartworm suggestions in the packet we send home with your puppy.
